Spiritually Speaking
by Matthew Shell
This album is about reconnecting with your spirit, body, and soul and allowing God to speak through your art.
Matthew made this album as an ode to his Mama Carol's love for nature and Flamenco guitar music.
Miracles
by Matthew Shell
This is Matthew's 4th LP in his tetralogy of 2025 gospel albums. Cellos, guitars, and synths are the foundational elements establishing an intensely earnest tone throughout the 26 tracks on this album. The vibe is further enhanced by the vocal artistry on display on more than half of the tracks.
The opener "Woman with an Issue of Blood" was his Mama Carol's favorite song before she passed on 9/18.
Along with Matthew on guitar, this LP features musicians from around the world including cellist Yoed Nir from Israel, flautist Douglas Lira from Brazil, electric guitarist Sami Turunen from Finland, bass guitarist Hector Ruano from Honduras, drummer Bobby Morgs from the USA, drummer Glenn Welman from South Africa, pianist Adeoye Moses from Nigeria, collaborator King Tremain from Nigeria, as well as remixer Erik Fredriksen and vocal artists Ebanks, Kenny McNeil, and Xela Black all from the USA, among others.
Garden of Gethsemane
by Matthew Shell
This is Matthew's 3rd LP in his tetralogy of 2025 gospel albums. In these decisive times, a project promoting peace, love, and live musicianship just felt right to Shell. This soothing instrumental collection draws inspiration from Jesus’s life, with each track named after key locations in His story.
This album was made in collaboration with cellist Yoed Nir, guitarist Sami Turunen, flautist Douglas Lira, bass guitarist Hector Ruaono, and pianist Adeoye Moses.
This album has had streaming success, with the lead single "Golgotha to Jerusalem" leading the way on Instagram, YouTube, and various other streaming platforms.

La Armadura de Dios
by Matthew Shell

"El Escudo de la Fe" is the stand-out track from the album as featured on a major Latin Gospel Spotify curated playlist.
"Los Zapatos del Evangelio de la Paz" is another stand out single with a distinct EDM sound. It's a departure from the Latin electric guitar driven sound of the album and includes co-producer Kenny McNeil and violinist Cristina Botnari.
Discernment
by Matthew Shell
This is Matthew's 1st LP in his tetralogy of 2025 gospel albums.
The song "What are you in for?" was featured on multiple Spotify curated playlists and is the stand-out track from the album. The lyrics for this song came to Shell in a dream and didn't fully make sense to him until months later when one of his childhood heroes (Michael Tait) fell from grace for criminal accusations. The song hauntingly references Tait's group (D.C. Talk) as the inspiration for a line in the song, while the song explores themes of living a double life.
The song's story is about an excentric jazz singer and her reluctancy in being a vessel for God to speak through her in these divisive end times. Like a thief in the night, the Lord returns and she realizes in an instant that she hasn't done enough to witness to her family and friends about Jesus. She is taken up in the rapture to Heaven while her loved ones stay behind on Earth to suffer.
